The biggest rock event traditionally known as Rock in Rio is sold out and a large audience is expected for hotels in Rio de Janeiro.

The name Cosme Velho comes from a Portuguese merchant who lived in the region many years ago. It was also here that Queen D. Maria of Portugal came to drink from the ferrous waters that claimed to have medicinal qualities. You can still see the Queen’s Beak very close to the station.
